On 25 August, Maximiliano Fuentes and Patrizia Dogliani will be presenting a paper at the XXIII International Congress of Historical Science, to be held in Poznań (Poland) from 21 to 27 August 2022.
The session in which this communication is framed is led by Valeria Galimi (University of Florence) and Annarita Gori (Universidade de Lisboa), member of this project, with the title Transnational Agents: Right wings intellectuals in the Latin space in the age of Fascism. The session focuses on new perspectives for approaching the study of transnational cultural networks established by right-wing intellectuals during the interwar period, focusing on informal intellectual networks and the relevance of taking a transnational approach.
Professor Fuentes will analyse these relations in the transnational “Latino” space, with a paper entitled “Hispanism and Latinism in Argentina and Spain: transnational right-wing discourses between the Great War and the inter-war period”.
Professor Dogliani will focus his speech on the influence of fascist political culture in the Spanish-American world, in the paper entitled “From Spain to Argentina: Italian Fascist cultural and ideological intervention in the Spanish World. 1938-1943”.
