Issue 99 of the Revista de Historia Jerónimo Zurita, coordinated by César Rina, researcher of the project, and Matteo Tomasoni, has been published. The issue, entitled “Ecos imperiales: diálogos sobre la Imperio Nostalgia”, addresses the persistence and public uses of the past of imperial memory in the contemporary age. It analyses at length the imprint of empires and their memories, from the origins of nation-states, their intensification within inter-war European fascisms, and the continuities in historiographical debates and nationalist narratives today.
