Leandro Losada is a specialist in Atlantic and connected history, history of elites, political history and history of political thought. He holds a PhD in History from the National University of the Center of the Buenos Aires Province (Argentina).

He is a researcher for the State Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), Associate Professor at the School of Politics and Government of the State University of San Martin (UNSAM) and Director of the Institute for Political Research (IIP) (CONICET-UNSAM), Argentina.

He has been Wallace Fellow at The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (Villa I Tatti, Firenze, Italy) and visiting researcher at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (París), Freie Universität Berlin, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università per Stranieri di Siena, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales (Madrid), Universitat de Girona. His works were published in academic journals from Spain, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, United States and Canada. Among his books, La alta sociedad en la Buenos Aires de la Belle Époque (2008 -Premio Especial Ricardo Rojas del Ministerio de Cultura del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires-), Historia de las elites en la Argentina (2009) and Maquiavelo en la Argentina (2019). He has received awards from the National Academy of History, the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and the Presidency of the Argentine Republic.
